“Mini and Me” – A student (age 8 and up) and their parent will learn to groom, lead, lunge, care for and do other groundwork activities with the minis. They will learn how to interact with miniature horses in a safe environment while developing skills and confidence in handling horses. A forty-five-minute lesson is $25.00 payable to Rocky Run Stables at the time of the lesson. Students may progress to groundwork with full size horses once skills are adequately developed with the miniature horses. Students must wear suitable barn attire including closed toe shoes.
Beginning riding lessons are offered to students (age 8 and up) depending on availability of suitable lesson horses. One hour riding lessons are $45.00 payable to Rocky Run Stables at the time of the lesson. Riding helmets and boots with heels are required for riding. Riding will take place in an indoor riding arena and will be cancelled during inclement weather events such as thunderstorms and blizzards.
Liability forms will be provided and must be signed by parents before lessons.
