Staff

The staff at Rocky Run Stables are the best in the business.

Elizabeth Wilson – Owner Operator

I am a retired middle and high Public School Choral Director. I have owned and operated Rocky Run Stables since 1987 and have been involved with horses for over 50 years.

Jess Cannon – Instructor, Trainer
In 2003 Jess became involved in riding and instructing at Shamineau Ranch. She has continued to gain experience managing and training at a variety of horsemanship programs throughout Minnesota, Montana and Colorado. Her hope is to be a lifelong student while adding to her hunt seat, jumping, western, and dressage experience. She has a Bachelor of Science: Equine Science from the U of M Crookston. She is a PATH Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. “Working alongside people and horses is a blessing.” Jess became a registered handler with Pet Partners in February of 2020.

Pete Myhrwold – Fixer Upper Extraordinaire
Pete Myhrwold is a retired chemistry and physics teacher at the high school and college levels. He retired after thirty-eight years of teaching. Pete is a fixit extraordinaire who repairs things that Beth, the boarders and the horses break. He is a creator and maintainer of farm equipment and the many trails on the farm. He comes up with creative solutions to the problems at the farm. His passions in life include fishing, canoeing, golfing, woodworking and searching for “TOE,” the “Theory Of Everything,” along with “GUT,” the “Grand Unified Theory.”
